Extensions Care Guide
Brushing
Only use a wide-tooth comb on wet hair
Use a boar bristle, wet brush or extension specific vent brush
Brush hair prior to washing
Always brush from the ends and work your way up
Washing
Wash + rinse in sections; thoroughly rinse in between extensions
Use a sulfate-free, paraben-free, professional shampoo + conditioner
Gently massage shampoo onto scalp; avoid rubbing motions, vigorous scrubbing + do not flip head upside down as this causes serious tangles
Apply conditioner to mids and ends only; leave on for 3-5 minutes. Detangle with wide-tooth comb while conditioner is left on
After washing, use a leave-in conditioner, heat protectant + recommended oil to mids and ends to protect the hair
Drying
Squeeze water out of the hair, do not rub
You can air-dry a little bit before blowdrying but remove excess moisture first
ALWAYS use a heat protectant before blowdrying + use medium heat
Sleeping
Gently brush hair + wear in either a loose braid or low ponytail; use a scrunchie
Do NOT go to bed with wet hair, this can cause tangling near scalp
Use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction, frizz + breakage
Swimming
Chlorine damages extensions. Before swimming, wet your hair with fresh water + a small amount of leave-in conditioner
Secure hair in a low ponytail
Once finished swimming, rinse hair with fresh water + reapply leave-in conditioner
Sunscreen
Avoid getting sunscreen on your hair by wearing it up until it dries
Avoid products with Oxybenzone + Avobenzone as they can cause your extensions to turn pink or orange
